I’ve met a grand total of three vegans since I started working at Menchie’s this week. They all go for the two sorbets we have and being neighbors to The Veggie Grill, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s doesn’t hurt either. 

Yesterday this vegan lady came in with her vegan daughter and they unsurprisingly went straight for the Melon Freeze Sorbet. I recognized the mom from a couple days ago and we bonded over how Menchie’s should offer more sorbet flavors. Before she left she scribbled down her email and recommended I check out HappyCow.net and subscribe to Vegnews Magazine and also told me to check out Native Foods around Thanksgiving. I knew about all three of these things but I still let her tell me all about them. It was kind for her to take the time to write them down for me and I enjoyed having to someone from my own town know what this lifestyle is like. 

It’s so easy to feel like you’re alone.
